Social Media Ideas for the RiseUP Elevation Challenge
Social media is one of the easiest ways to bring people into your RiseUP Elevation Challenge journey.
Instead of posting the registration link once and hoping people respond, take your audience along with you throughout September.
Participants are encouraged to share their progress, tag RiseUP, and use #UP4TheChallenge.
What to Post
1. Your Challenge Announcement
Share:
- Why you registered.
- Your elevation, distance, or fundraising goal.
- How people can support you.

2. Your Personal Reason
A personal story creates a stronger connection than event details alone.

I joined the RiseUP Elevation Challenge because inclusion is not only about having access to services. It is about belonging, opportunity, dignity, and being fully part of a community.
Every foot I complete this September will represent another step toward a more inclusive Colorado.
Who will rise with me?

The RiseUP Elevation Challenge is about more than movement.
Funds raised help support programs where children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and neurodiversity can build skills, confidence, independence, and community connection.

Colorado-Focused Hashtag Bank
Choose approximately five to eight relevant hashtags per post:
#RiseUP #UP4TheChallenge #ColoradoNonprofit #ColoradoSpringsCommunity #DenverCommunity #ColoradoSpringsNonprofit #DenverNonprofit #DisabilityInclusion #IDDCommunity #Neurodiversity #InclusiveColorado #MoveWithPurpose #FundraisingChallenge
Do not use every hashtag on every post. Match them to the location, audience, and subject of the content.
Invite People Into the Story
Your audience does not only want to see a fundraising request.
They want to see your progress, understand your reason, celebrate your wins, and feel that they can participate too.
Keep your posts personal, positive, and clear. Show the challenge in action. Recognize the people supporting you. Invite others to rise alongside you.
