Vocational and Community Participation

Vocational Program

Vocational and Community ParticipationThis program, located in Denver, Colorado helps adults with developmental disabilities find, maintain, and succeed in their jobs. We are not a sheltered workshop.  All of our clients' jobs are in the community.  We are committed to inclusion in the workplace and help our clients get jobs based on their individual interests, preferences, skills, and needs.

Services Provided:
  • Formal job analysis

  • Job development

  • Job coaching

  • Follow along services

  • Teaching job, social, safety, and public transportation skills

  • Training in the application and interview process

  • Education, communication, and coordination of services

  • Consultation with and education for employers

Community Participation:

Vocational and Community ParticipationThis program allows adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to be involved in their community.  We develop programs for each client based on their interests, needs, and abilities.  We recognize that many of our clients need an opportunity to meet peers and make friends. We match individuals with similar interests and provide a staff to client ratio of no more than one to three.  This allows us to take advantage of many recreational and cultural opportunities available in the Denver area while encouraging peer relationships to develop.
